A wellregarded secondary school is seeking a dedicated Head of English to lead its thriving department and drive excellence in English education.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop an English department that fosters creativity literacy and critical thinking. As Head of English you will lead a team of talented teachers implement an engaging curriculum and inspire students to develop a lifelong love for literature and language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a highperforming English department.
- Develop and deliver a challenging and engaging curriculum across Key Stages 35.
- Support and mentor English teachers fostering a collaborative and innovative teaching culture.
- Promote literacy and analytical skills through highquality teaching and learning strategies.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular activities including literary clubs debate teams and creative writing initiatives.
- Ensure strong academic outcomes through rigorous assessment and continuous improvement.
