In ARQUIMEA SPACE develops spaceflight parts and equipment for satellites and launchers. We specialize in thermal control systems structural panels optical payloads avionics release and deployment mechanisms and radhard microelectronics. Together with our tech partners we provide highthroughput smallsats and their subsystems. Our brandnew factory in Madrid is suited to integrate satellites and constellations.
We are looking for a Configuration Managerwith the mission of oversee the configuration management processes (including change control) for space projects and programs ensuring traceability consistency and integrity of all project data and deliverables through the entire product lifecycle working closely with engineering quality and project management teams.
Tasks to be performed:
- Develop and implement configuration management plans processes and procedures in compliance with program requirements.
- Control and maintain configuration baselines (functional allocated product) ensuring accurate documentation and traceability across design development and operations phases.
- Manage Change Control Boards (CCB) ensuring proper evaluation approval and documentation of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Notices (CNs).
- Manage the entire Spacecraft Product Tree:materials components equipment subsystems and systems configuration control.
- Maintain configuration records:Bills of Materials (BOMs) part lists software and versioncontrolled technical documentation.
- Interface with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g. space agencies clients subcontractors) to ensure alignment and compliance with configuration requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of configuration status reports audits and key performance metrics.
- Support system integration testing and verification activities with accurate configuration data.
- Provide training and guidance on CM best practices to project teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of CM tools methods and best practices.
Required skills experience and candidate profile:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Systems Engineering Aerospace or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in Configuration Management within aerospace defense or hightech industries.
- CMII (Configuration Management Institute) certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles change control and documentation control.
- Experience with CM software tools (e.g. Teamcenter JIRA DOORs or equivalent).
- Strong communication and coordination skills to interface with technical and managerial teams.
- Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a highpaced environment.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards for CM (e.g. EIA649 MILSTD973 ECSSMST40C) is a plus.
- Experience in government or commercial spacecraft programs is a plus.
The position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejn de Ardoz (Madrid).
The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU and must be able to travel to the US.
