Job Description

  • Ensure systems and processes are in place to drive safety and environmental performance by each workgroup and actively participate.
  • Clearly communicate goals around safety (KPIs) and operating performance and ensure they are understood by Site Leaders and employees.
  • Lead Operations team to a zero recordable and nearmiss incident approach using SGS and/or customer safety program.
  • Accountable for achieving the communicated budget in terms of Revenue and Local Contribution for his defined territory.
  • Participate in the preparation of the business plans for the region to achieve annual budgets and OGC Services strategic/business plans accordingly.
  • Oversee the overall Operational Quality and ensure consistency throughout the sites.
  • Ensure that training is being conducted in alignment with SGS and customers best practices including auditing of records and informal participation in employee qualification process.
  • Ensure compliance adherence and administration of the Collective Agreement. Will be required to attend Labour Management and Grievance Meetings.
  • Lead coach and develop a safety quality driven and businessorientated team.
  • Operate to the highest standards of ethics in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity.

Note: This position will be based in Alberta.


Qualifications :

Required:

  • Education: University Degree (Bachelors) in Business or related field.
  • Experience: Over 10 years related experience.
  • Up to 50 travel required primarily within Western Canada.
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing required pre hire and occasionally required prior to site visits. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Previous experience in a consulting function with financial/budget responsibilities would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of another language besides English. French is an asset.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills..
  • Possess ability to generate a clear elaborate strategic vision.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fastpaced highly professional environment.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer & business software along with information management applications (ex. MS Word Excel Outlook etc..
  • Ability to work well with others & independently.
  • Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
