Job Description
- Ensure systems and processes are in place to drive safety and environmental performance by each workgroup and actively participate.
- Clearly communicate goals around safety (KPIs) and operating performance and ensure they are understood by Site Leaders and employees.
- Lead Operations team to a zero recordable and nearmiss incident approach using SGS and/or customer safety program.
- Accountable for achieving the communicated budget in terms of Revenue and Local Contribution for his defined territory.
- Participate in the preparation of the business plans for the region to achieve annual budgets and OGC Services strategic/business plans accordingly.
- Oversee the overall Operational Quality and ensure consistency throughout the sites.
- Ensure that training is being conducted in alignment with SGS and customers best practices including auditing of records and informal participation in employee qualification process.
- Ensure compliance adherence and administration of the Collective Agreement. Will be required to attend Labour Management and Grievance Meetings.
- Lead coach and develop a safety quality driven and businessorientated team.
- Operate to the highest standards of ethics in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity.
Note: This position will be based in Alberta.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Education: University Degree (Bachelors) in Business or related field.
- Experience: Over 10 years related experience.
- Up to 50 travel required primarily within Western Canada.
- Drug and Alcohol Testing required pre hire and occasionally required prior to site visits.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Previous experience in a consulting function with financial/budget responsibilities would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of another language besides English. French is an asset.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills..
- Possess ability to generate a clear elaborate strategic vision.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fastpaced highly professional environment.
- Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer & business software along with information management applications (ex. MS Word Excel Outlook etc..
- Ability to work well with others & independently.
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
