• Relevant and progressive work experience in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent supervisory experience
• Full understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
• Strong influencing leadership skills interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Fluent in English
• Bachelors degree from an academic institution in a related field such as Economics Finance Accounting or Commerce.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous experience with the Hilton systems
• Previous experience in the Account/Finance Management

An Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for assisting in the management and administration of all financial operations within the hotel. This role plays a key part in ensuring the hotel delivers exceptional guest service while maintaining financial profitability.

What will I be doing

As Assistant Director of Finance you will ensure the accuracy of stocks accounts payable prepayments and creditor/accruals accounting records and provide periodic reports to the Finance department. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Supporting the Director of Finance in overseeing financial activities contributing to financial planning and reporting and ensuring compliance with financial policies and standards
• Assisting with accurate forecasting budgeting and financial statement preparation
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Supporting capital reviews as required by hotel management
• Training and developing the Finance team and fostering succession planning
• Promoting financial awareness among local management
• Reviewing account reconciliations and ensuring accurate monthend financial records
• Analyzing performance against budgets identifying costsaving opportunities and managing finance projects
• Overseeing payroll capital expenditures inventory and fixed asset management
• Ensuring compliance with health safety and regulatory requirements
