What to expect on thejob:
- Reporting to theGeneral Manager the Maintenance Manageris responsible forall aspects of the maintenance and repair of all production equipment utilitiesbuildingsand grounds in the most efficient andcosteffectiveway possible.
- Lead the effort in the maintenance department toidentifypotential cost savings through process improvements and methods of reducing energy consumption.
- Lead the continuous improvementand Preventative Maintenanceeffort in the maintenance department whiledemonstratingcommitment to the Companys vision and values.
- Deliver cost effective repair & maintenance services to all internal and external customers through a staff of salary and hourly personnel.
- In collaboration with plant managementoperatethe Facility and Utilities in such a way as toprovidereliable Fuel Power Water
- Compressed Air Refrigeration HVAC and Sewer services for all departments.
- Provideengineering insight andexpertisein developing and implementing the Capital Plan.
- Review equipment and systemsidentifybottlenecks and solutions opportunity for equipment innovation newinstallationsor modifications.
- Partner internally to continuously improve quality and productivity.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System(MainSaver)tomaintainproper Preventive Maintenance on equipmentaccurateequipment maintenance histories (cost and task) improved planning & scheduling functions and improved inventorycontrol;all leading to improved equipment reliability.
- Lead by example in the areas of employee Safety Food Safety Food Security and Plant Security activities.
- Assistin compliance activities for all Local State and Federal regulatory agencies governing safety and environmental issues.
- Work closely with the Companys property and risk insurers to maximize protection while minimizing risk exposure.
Must haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or ElectricalEngineeringorrelated discipline.
- 10 years experience managing in a maintenance and engineering related capacity; preferably in the food processing industry.
- Strong leadership skills ability to rationalize challenges identify solutions while engaging the broader team
- Exceptional problemsolving skills ability to addressshort and longtermissues in a planful manner
- Excellent communication skills demonstrates transparency in actions and decisionmaking
- Subject Matter expert in Best Maintenance Practices for food processing equipment and facilities.
- Knowledge of related Engineering principals including but not limited to: Fluid Power (Pneumatics & Hydraulics) Industrial
- Electric Power Electronics & Controls HVAC Refrigeration Theory & System Operation Building Construction & Design and Plant Layout &Workflow.
- Familiarity with public utility services & contractsincludingElectric Natural Gas Water Wastewater Treatment & Wastewater Discharge.
- Experienced in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Knowledgeable in Food safety requirements and procedures.
- Knowledgeable of OSHA rules and Environmental regulations.
