Job Description

OVERVIEW

The fulltime Connections Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the administrative aspects of connecting people into groups and serving teams. S/he will also provide administrative support for events and pathways that lead to membership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Connecting to Serving Teams

  • Respond to serving inquiries directing people to next steps
  • Create & maintain systems for following up with people who inquired about serving teams to assess their progress
  • Maintain Serving profiles
  • Champion for serving pathways assuring all departments are utilizing them and assisting as needed
  • Track data pertaining to people getting into and being on serving teams
  • Communicate and coordinate with ministry staff to facilitate the process of adding people to serving teams
  • Create & maintain systems for following up with ministry staff as to the progress of people being added to their teams
  • Print badges for new serving team members
  • Recruit and manage a special events serving team
  • Onboard team members onto the Connections team (including background checks)
  • Help onboard new community group leaders
  • Administrative coordination for holiday serving needs Realm registrations calendar room reservations supplies/materials setup coordination communications promotion logistics refreshments/catering etc.
  • Maintain and print the weekend info sheet for the connecting place desks
  • Maintain supplies for the Connecting Places
  • Restock the lobby kiosks as needed

Connecting to Groups

  • Respond to group inquiries connecting leaders with potential new member
  • Manage Realm pathway for connecting people into groups
  • Manage timely communication and followup for connecting people into groups
  • Manage Groups Finder the tool for connecting people with community groups
  • Maintain & update community group rosters in Realm
  • Administrative coordination for community group events (launches trainings etc. Realm registrations calendar room reservations supplies/materials setup coordination communications promotion logistics etc.

Membership Pathway

  • Administrative support for The Welcome and the Distinctives and Beliefs Classes
  • Administrative tracking of where people are in the process
  • Communication to help people along in the process
  • Administrative coordination for meetings & events Realm registrations calendar room reservations supplies/materials setup coordination communications promotion logistics
  • Administration coordination and setup for the membership workshop 34x annually

COMPETENCIES

  • 2 years experience in administrative and support roles preferably within a church setting.
  • Excellent ability to manage and pay attention to details
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills prioritizing todo items for maximum effectiveness.
  • Actionoriented displaying focus passion and initiative. Able to anticipate needs and create systems to meet them.
  • Interpersonal skills: Relates well to all kinds of people by listening and negotiating builds effective relationships and teams collaborative.
  • Highly proficient with technology including Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word etc.
  • A general understanding and value for Gods vision for racial unity and justice

SCHEDULE

  • 40 Hours/Week
  • 1x Per Week Meet with theConnections Director.
  • 1x Per Week Attend the weekly All Staff Meetings on Tuesday mornings.
  • 1x Per Week Attend the weekly All Staff Prayer Pause.
  • 1x Per Week Attend departmental meetings.
  • 1x Per Year Participate in the AllStaff Retreat typically in June.
  • 1x Per Month Admin Meeting
  • Christmas Eve Easter Sunday Gatherings.
  • Initiate/attend projectspecific meetings and departmental meetings as needed.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to the Connections Director
  • Works closely with theCommunity Life Department
  • Works closely with other GCC Administrative Staff
