This is a 16week position with a flexible start date which may begin no earlier than May 5 2025 and no later than September 2 2025. The start date is flexible to accommodate variability in postsecondary GIS program schedules; the exact start date will be determined during the interview process.
Please note that this position has the option to be 100 remote however the incumbent must reside in Ontario and must arrange to attend an inperson orientation and computer equipment pickup for 1 day in Owen Sound at the start of the term.

Purpose
The GIS student performs GIS tasks to support the Countys GIS program including preparing web and printbased cartographic products spatial analyses documentation and data collection and maintenance. They may support other GIS users with data collection or application support and training.

Working Conditions
Usual hours of work are thirtyfive 35 per week Monday to Friday. Overtime can be expected to deal with normal operational and statutory deadlines and peak periods.
