What we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Governance Officer where you will bring your problemsolving organisational and relationshipbuilding skills to a dynamic and collaborative team.

This role will offer you a blend of responsibilities where you will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret and apply policy legislation and procedures.

If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in local government and have a passion for policy governance and compliance this is the role for you!

What your day will look like:

  • Prepare agendas minutes and reports; ensure compliance with Councils procedures and act as minute secretary for Council meetings and other corporate meetings as required.
  • Oversee insurance activities including notifying insurers managing claims and ensuring timely payments.
  • Maintain systems for councillor compliance including the Register of Interests and Related Parties.
  • Respond to customer requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice to senior staff on report writing and resolution drafting for meetings and compliance matters.
