Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Superintendent

Job Classification: District Leadership/Certified Staff

Reports to: Superintendent

Work Schedule: Calendar Year

General Description:


The Assistant Superintendent at Career Academy Network of Public Schools provides strategic leadership in overseeing district operations and student services. This role ensures the effective implementation of policies procedures and programs that enhance student success and operational efficiency. The Assistant Superintendent works closely with school leaders staff and community partners to create an equitable and innovative learning environment that supports all students


Qualifications:


A masters degree or higher is required. Experience in a K12 school system is required. Charter School experience preferred. Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Indiana Administrators License.


Primary Responsibilities: Operational Leadership:

  • Assist in managing daytoday district operations ensuring alignment with the districts mission and goals. (Transportation Facilities Food Service Nursing)
  • Collaborate with District Directors to implement policies and initiatives that improve operational outcomes.
  • Support budgeting resource allocation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Engage with families staff and community stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and promote district initiatives.

Student Services Leadership:

  • Oversee and enhance student services programs: Special Education MTSS English Language Learner Social Work
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for student support services.
  • Work closely with District Directors to develop and implement strategies that address student attendance discipline and overall wellbeing.
  • Support Student Service District Directors.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Project Management Manages projects from end to end identifying and monitoring project milestones and holding the team accountable for achieving results.
