In this position...
You will have global responsibilities leading corporate design and verification strategy for inhouse wheel speed sensor system designs manufacturing best practices and support issue resolution. You will also be responsible for the verification strategy of externally purchased wheel speed sensors and new technologies related to them.
You will be interacting with crossfunctional teams including but not limited to: Suspension Brake Controls Hardware Brake Controls Software Axle Fixed Brake Applications Design and Release Engineering Variable Brake Applications Design and Release Engineering Component Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Systems Engineering external suppliers and vehicle dynamics to achieve these goals.
Responsibilities
What youll do...
Develop and author Wheel Speed Sensor functional and design requirements.
Define system and component robustness/ reliability demonstration methods and targets
Perform wheel speed sensor hardware Technical Design Reviews and assessments throughout the development process.
Lead problem solving investigations to resolve durability reliability and signal concerns.
Optimize wheel speed sensor signal robustness while maintaining durability.
Signoff responsibility for wheel speed sensors at program milestones. Review and approve all FMA documentation (DVP Boundary DFMEA Design Rules etc..
Mentoring and training engineers working with wheel speed sensors.
Collaborate with industry experts for continuous learning and best practices.
Work with manufacturing engineering on continuous FTT and quality improvement.
Develop and implement new design process methodologies and analytical tools.
Qualifications
Youll have...
Bachelor Science in Engineering
2 years of experience as the Subject Matter Expert in wheel speed sensors design and bringing those products to market for a Major OEM.
Expert level knowledge of wheel speed sensors manufacturing process and future technology awareness.
Selfdirected excellent people and communications skills.
Ability to lead a diverse team from many organizations to resolve complex crossfunctional issues.
Travel to global supplier or Ford assembly plants may be required
