Job Description
Purpose:This position is responsible for routine processing of eggs and day old poults in the Hatchery including a clean work environment basic manual labor.
Poult Service Technician operates machines that are servicing a day old poults including but not limited to: three toe treat four toe treat desnood and inject/spray/gel applications. Within this process will be the expectation of consistent cleanliness and animal welfare standards being upheld. Poult Service Technician out all directives in accordance with the Companys policies and applicable laws. All Company information will be handled with complete confidentiality.
Work requires frequent bending standing and walking. Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions. The work environment includes exposure to dust chemicals fumes and varying temperatures. Poult Service Technician must be physically able to lift and/or push and handle up to 20 lbs. frequently during the day. Poult Service Technician can be asked to train in multiple departments and rotate departments based on Companys needs.

- Follow the direction of the area supervisor.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures business ethics codes and all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Follow strict attendance policy.
- Active listening and customer service orientation skills
- Deductive/Inductive reasoning skills
- Must have good hand eye coordination.
Education Experience Knowledge & Duties:
Additional required skills and abilities include; attention to detail; communication skills including verbal and listening; the ability to read and interpret company policies and procedures the ability to communicate and interact productively with all employees; the ability to work under pressure; and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Successful completion of preemployment drug screen is required.
- Follow the directives of the Area Supervisor.
- Follow all company regulations pertaining to bio security animal welfare and safety.
- Experience with live animals preferred.
