The Program Developer is responsible for assessing learner needs designing and developing curriculum and creating instructional materials that enhance the educational experience for adult learners. This role focuses on leveraging market research and engaging with stakeholders to deliver innovative highquality learning programs that meet the needs of a diverse student population within the College of Continuing and Professional Education.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong research analytical and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff. Knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices in online education. Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g. Canvas Blackboard) and other educational technologies.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies procedures and guidelines including but not limited to safety civility information security and nondiscrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the universitys commitment to a vision of excellence.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelors degree preferably with courses in adult education and curriculum planning and three years of experience in planning classes and curriculum for higher or extended education programs including developing resources budgets marketing plans and acting as a liaison with the community required.
Bachelors degree in Instructional Design Educational Technology or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
Experience in instructional design online course development program development curriculum for higher or extended education programs or a related area preferred. Experience in higher education or continuing education is preferred.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $6320 $9014 per month.

1.0 timebase 40 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment
