Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of adolescents struggling with addiction Join our team as an Outpatient Addictions Counselor and play a vital role in our communityfocused treatment programs.

Position Overview: As an Outpatient Addictions Counselor you will provide comprehensive counseling services to adolescents facing addiction issues. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments developing individualized treatment plans and delivering therapeutic interventions through individual family and group counseling sessions. Youll work closely with our clinical team to ensure each client receives personalized care aimed at enhancing their ability to maintain a healthy substancefree lifestyle and improve overall community integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for outpatient clients.
  • Provide weekly individual counseling sessions and facilitate group and family therapy sessions as needed.
  • Actively participate in crisis intervention and ongoing client support.
  • Collaborate with community partners and referral sources to enhance program visibility and client engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and state standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance and utilization review activities as a valued member of our clinical team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in human services or related field; Iowa Substance Abuse Counselor Certification (temporaryCADC or CADC/IADC) required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in individual group and family therapy within the field of substance use disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in a human services or related field.
  • Previous experience working with adolescents and their families in a counseling capacity.
