Job Description

Position Summary:

The Center for Teaching Excellence Student Assistant will work closely with the Coordinator CTE to provide general support by assisting with clerical duties special projects customer support and tracking editing and preparing documents filling and scanning documents assisting with routine processes and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general clerical support to staff in the department
  • Schedule meetings & rooms
  • Prepare meeting documents
  • Deliver/pickup documents across campus
  • Mail documents & packages
  • Data entry
  • Assist with customer support and tracking
  • Respond to routine customer inquiries via email & phone
  • Check the CTE voice message line
  • Track all CTE inquiries
  • Assist with tracking and reporting course registration
  • Monitor event registration system
  • Provide weekly reports of course registration counts
  • Facilitate processes for new registrants (i.e. notifying accounting)
  • Scan & file documents
  • Assist with digital archiving and management of CTE documents
  • Assist with basic CTE processes
  • Generate Purchase Orders Purchase Requisitions & Faculty Stipend forms
  • Assist with the contracting & tracking processes
  • Track documentation for contractors & instructors
  • Facilitate initial contracting process
  • Facilitate contracting renewal process
  • Request certificates

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Must be a current Franklin University student
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Comfortable with repetitive processes
Strong customer services skills
Availability to work up to 19 hours per week Monday Friday between 8 am and 5 pm

Preferred Skills and Characteristics:

  • Experience with AI and Chatbot development
