Description
Position Title: Landscaping Student Assistant
Supervisors Title: Curtis Layne Director of Campus Grounds
Session: Academic
Average hours per week: Up to 10 hours
Job Purpose:
To assist the Physical Plant staff in carrying out their duties.

Essential Duties:
Environmental Services
- Paints
- Empty trash
- Cleans stairwells
- Recycles
- Vacuums
- Washes windows
- Assist with equipment and supply delivery
Warehouse:
- Vehicles (cleans/services/takes to shop/refuels)
- Issues parts
- Puts up stock
- Cleans out the shops
Grounds:
- Mowing
- Pulls weeds
- Rakes
Maintenance:
- Picks up parts
- Smoke detector batteries
- Lights
- Filters
- Assists in multiple tasks
Physical Plant Office:
- Answers phones
- Make copies
- Work Orders
- Issues vehicles
Equipment Used:
- Mower
- Broom
- Hand truck
- Weedier
- Copier
- Telephone
- Vacuum
- Rakes
- Computer
Qualifications
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
