Qualifications youll bring:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field.
  • Experience with statutory reporting and compliance within the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g. Excel financial reporting software).
  • Excellent attention to detail organizational skills verbal and written communication skills etc.
  • Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth

Your key responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely quarterly and annual financial filings for insurance departments and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends discrepancies and areas for improvement in regulatory reporting.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decisionmaking.
  • Monitor statutory and industry standards to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilize and maintain applicable software for statutory reporting purposes.
  • Assist with state and federal inquiries audits and statutory examinations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for streamlining statutory reporting processes.
  • Provide management reporting packages to support decisionmaking.
  • Perform general ledger functions to assist with monthly close activities.
  • Take on special projects and assignments as needed.

Location: Hybrid to Schenectady New York; Rochester New York
