Marvells Data Center Ethernet PHY Business Unit is the industry leading provider of infrastructure solutions to enterprise data center service providers small business and digital home customers. The AEC applicationsteam is a key part of the Data Center Business Unit that drives key design wins
for 400 Gigabit 800 Gigabit and 1.6 Terabit Ethernet AEC products. We are looking for a customer facing passionate experienced handson engineer to bring us to greater heights.
What You Can Expect
- Proactively and efficiently support Marvells AEC PAM4 DSP products.
- Own and drive customer issues to resolution acting as the interface between the customer and Marvell engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and Product Line Managers (PLMs) to gather and communicate customer needs to marketing and engineering teams.
- Understand customer target markets analyze and prioritize customer design requirements and provide feedback to the engineering team.
- Drive and assist the sales team to win key designs with Marvell AEC cables.
- Review customer schematics and layouts perform handson bringup and debugging of customer cables and closely follow and check customer technical issues.
- Provide remote or onsite troubleshooting support customer lab/field trials and understand customer application environments to offer insightful advice on customer products.

Our Application Engineers are expected to have knowledge of SW programming and HW fundamentals as well as the curiosity and persistence to take on interesting and challenging issues on a daily basis. This role requires a natural excitement and ability to learn technologies and explain technical issues to a variety of audiences including enterprise architects engineers and management. Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. PhD degrees are a plus!
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits and system hardware.
- Handson lab experience with SerDes TX and RX validation.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment such as highspeed oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers logic/protocol analyzers and traffic generators.
- Excellent problemsolving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Professional detailoriented customerfocused and selfdriven.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet customer needs.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Application Engineer particularly in resolving customer issues.
- Familiarity with highspeed PCB layout signal integrity board assembly and manufacturing.
- Experience with software programming languages such as C and Python.
- Strong influence and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
$ per annumThe successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on jobrelated skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
