DescriptionThe Division of Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic Florida is seeking a distinguished physician to lead a program focused on gastrointestinal (GI) nutrition enteral and parenteral feeding. This individual will drive innovation in clinical care research and education in the field of GI nutrition while collaborating across disciplines to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a comprehensive program in GI nutrition enteral and parenteral feeding.
- Provide expert clinical care in managing complex nutritional disorders including malnutrition intestinal failure and metabolic disorders.
- Establish and grow a research portfolio ideally with NIH or equivalent funding or be willing to actively pursue extramural funding opportunities.
- Foster multidisciplinary collaborations across Gastroenterology Internal Medicine Endocrinology Surgery and other related fields.
- Mentor trainees fellows and junior faculty in the areas of clinical care and research.
- Contribute to national and international efforts in advancing GI nutrition research and practice.

Qualifications- MD or equivalent degree with board certification in Gastroenterology Internal Medicine Endocrinology or another relevant field with a focus on gastrointestinal nutrition.
- Nationally recognized expertise in GI nutrition enteral and parenteral feeding.
- Strong record of clinical excellence and academic scholarship including publications in highimpact journals.
- Established track record of independent or collaborative research ideally with NIH or equivalent funding or a strong commitment to seeking such funding.
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical program development and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Florida.
