For more than 30 years Woodard & Curran has offered contract operations and management services for drinking water municipal and industrial wastewater groundwater remediation and solid waste facilities nationwide. Currently we contract operate more than 85 facilities nationwide.Woodard & Curran draws on the experience of hundreds of certified operators across the country backed by the knowledge and skills of hundreds more engineers scientists and regulatory experts to quickly tackle the most challenging operational issues and keep treatment plants running efficiently and in full compliance.
Woodard & Curran is growing and we are looking for qualified Project Managers in the Palmetto Sarasota FL metro geographies! The Wastewater Project Manager will be responsible for the daytoday operations maintenance and management and administrative duties while maintaining close client communications. What would you be doing at Woodard & Curran
- Daytoday operations and management of the facilities including provision of trained staff 24/7
- Implementation and management of W&Cs H&S program policies and guidelines
- Daytoday operations and management of the remote communications network and assigned SCADA network.
- Implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program
- Implementation and management of W&Cs human resources compliance and asset management software and work order programs
- Administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects
- Emergency response for process upsets equipment failures force majeure events all alarm events etc.
- Provision of requested / required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality.
The Project Manager will play an active role in the coordination and communication with assigned staff client representatives contractors and any assigned engineering firms. He or she will also work closely with all parties to ensure effective system operation and optimization. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing handson work and producing all required reports. He or she will coordinate the ongoing daily operation of the utility system.
What would you need to succeed
- High School Degree or Equivalent.
- Valid Indiana Drivers License required.
- Must possess a valid State of Florida Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Class A license.
- Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions as well as follow safety procedures.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check preplacement physical and drug screen before employment.
- 10 to 15 years experience in managing complex wastewater and reclaimed facilities.
- Experience overseeing a budget of $2.5 million or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record with regulators.

Retirement Savings:
401(k) Pretax or Roth Contributions: The company will match equal to 100 of the first 3 of salary contributed; all employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan and are 100 vested in the value of their own contributions and any employer matching contributions.
Time away from work:
Vacation time is provided to full and parttime regular employees. Vacation is accrued based on the number of hours worked per week as well as prior years of experience.
