Job Description Summary
This position seeks to hire students for theacademic year who have a workstudy award. Student callers are vital to the success of fundraising at Chapman and to maintaining strong relationships with alumni and parents. Students are the best ambassadors to speak about the Chapman experience because theyre living it! As a student caller through our Phonathon program you are making a difference by fundraising for the Chapman Fund which supports student scholarships and the most pressing needs of the Chapman community. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills a problemsolving mentality the ability to think strategically in a fastpaced environment and a genuine affinity for Chapman. Working on the Phonathon team is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in communication fundraising and public relations.
Responsibilities
Serve as an ambassador to Chapman University by establishing an open and engaging line of communication between the university and its supporters. Call constituents (alumni parents and friends of Chapman) to update demographic information bond with constituents and ask for advice and solicit constituents to support the Chapman Fund. Commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week and a maximum of 9 hours per week. Handle personal information with extreme confidentiality. Have a good time and make new friends.
Required Qualifications
Strong communication skills. Optimistic attitude. Ability to speak positively about your Chapman Experience. Timemanagement. Implement feedback Be able to work during the tentative program hours: Monday: 47pm Tuesday: 101pm 47pm Wednesday: 101pm 47pm Thursday: 47pm Friday: 14pm
