OT541: TFP Florence SC 1500 Otis Way Florence SC 29501 USAThis position is for a Mechanical Engineer to provide design and support for the Otis Gen3 product.The position will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity evaluating design opportunities and integrating new component designs into existing systems while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments.
On a Typical Day You Will:
Create sheet metal designs
Design for installation/manufacturing
Implement and test a wide range of elevator components
The candidate should have a strong mechanical engineering background with experience in change management and working in a cross functional team environment.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
Basic Qualifications:
BS Degree in mechanical engineering degree with 3 years experience
MA/MS degree with 1 to 3 years experience
Strong communications and leadership ability
Experience with Microsoft office particularly with Project and Excel.
Sound mechanical engineering background (mechanical and system modeling and design component modeling and design)
Sheet metal design
Preferred Skills:
Creo/Pro Engineer
Handson testing experience
Elevator field experience preferred but not required
Elevator systems knowledge preferred but not required
