Soka University of America (SUA) and the Social and Behavioral Sciences concentration invite applications to fill aParttime Adjunct Instructor position in Psychology. The adjunct instructor will teach two sections of Introduction to Psychologyin our Spring Semester beginning on February 3 and ending on May 20.
The successful candidate will have a strong record of teaching with a demonstrated understanding of the interdisciplinary curriculum in the liberal arts tradition. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to engage students in active learning in our small (average 14student) classes.

Candidates should demonstrate responsiveness toward and understanding of diverse student backgrounds especially regarding socioeconomic status race ethnicity culture ability/disability sexual orientation and gender identity. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or be ABD in Psychology and should have experience teaching undergraduate Psychology courses.
