Prepare detailed engaging lesson plans using our LCA provided curriculum with objectives and assessment on the daily plans for MWF.
Prepare detailed engaging lesson plans for TTh for satellite days with details for parents to administer and oversee the lessons to completion.
Follow prescribed scope and sequence and adhere to relevant curricular and policy guidelines as they teach their assigned classes.
Put lessons on FACTS by Sunday at 5:00pm each week.
If lesson plans change during the week email the parents that day before the students leave for the day or you leave for the day.
Create and update as necessary a curriculum notebook with all necessary documents requested by Elementary Director.
Update grade level Curriculum Mapping instructed by the Director
Utilize administrative time for planning grading and communication with parents as appropriate.
Teach via online when necessary or directed by the school
Communicate with parents weekly
Instruction
Teach lessons with engaging activities when possible
Use all teaching strategies to meet your students needs.
Teach by using a mix of teacher directed lessons group activities and individual projects
Integrate Biblical principles and a Biblically sound philosophy of education throughout the curriculum.
Utilize valid teaching techniques to help students master necessary content and skills as defined by the relevant curriculum goals and the schools general philosophy.
Plan a program of study that as much as possible meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students challenging each to do his best work.
Appropriately employ a variety of instructional aids methods and other resources that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual mental physical social and emotional.
Effectively use homework for drill review enrichment or project work.
Keep proper discipline and classroom management in the classroom and on the school premises in order to maintain a good teaching environment following the handbook discipline plan.
Effectively communicate parent coteacher duties and assist administration in holding coteachers accountable.
Inform the administration if unable to fulfill any assigned duties.
Prepare adequate information and materials for a substitute teacher.
Set an expectation for and enforce excellence of foundational communicational skills (i.e. grammar spelling neatness of work handwriting public speaking skills etc..
Take an active role in enforcing school discipline (student code of conduct dress code).
NonInstructional
Teachers shall
Cooperate with the Board and administration in implementing all policies procedures and directives governing the operation of the school.
Confer with the administration regarding any policy he is unable to support.
Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records on Renwewb to meet the demands of a comprehensive knowledge of each students progress.
Renweb will be updated with attendance daily by 9:00
Grades will be imputed in Renweb weekly
Keep students parents and the administration adequately informed of student progress or deficiencies and give sufficient notice of probable course failure.
Maintain a clean attractive wellordered classroom.
Maintain Satellite Day Office hours each Tue and Thurs.

Utilize educational opportunities and evaluation processes for professional growth.
Meet the requirements directed by the school for continuing education on a yearly basis
Seek the counsel of the administrator colleagues and parents while maintaining a teachable spirit.
Provide input and recommendations for improvements in curricular administrative and managerial policies and practices in the school.
Attend and participate in scheduled faculty training department faculty and PTF meetings.
Know the procedures for dealing with emergencies including evacuation procedures.
Contribute as able to the general improvement of the school program.
Refuse to inappropriately use or circulate confidential information. Gossip is not tolerated.
Personal
Teachers shall

Dress in modest professional attire. Casual blue jeans shorts tee shirts and specifics noted in the employee dress code policy are not acceptable for the classroom. Nice blue jeans and LCA spiritwear are permitted on Fridays. P.E. teachers may wear more casual but modest clothes appropriate to their activities. All staff members in attendance at any school function are required to dress in accordance with the same standards of modesty and good taste that are required on campus.
Use clear and acceptable English in written and oral communication.
Recognize the need for good public relations by representing the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public at all times.
Show due commitment toward fulfilling the teaching ministry.
Make effort to appreciate support and understand the uniqueness of the LCA community.
