Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) Community Access Services
Location: Hood River OR 97031
Pay:$2122 per hour $1000 hiring bonus!
Direct Support Professional (DSP)
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and engage in their community. You will provide personcentered support assist with daily activities and help individuals achieve their personal goals in a compassionate and inclusive environment. What Youll Do as a DSP: As a DSP at CAS you will:
- Provide direct support to individuals in their daily activities including personal care household tasks and community outings.
- Encourage and facilitate the development of life skills to promote independence.
- Advocate for the rights choices and needs of the individuals you support.
- Foster a safe inclusive and nurturing environment that aligns with CASs mission and values.
- Assist with transportation medication administration and documentation as needed.
- Celebrate successes big and small and make every day meaningful.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in caregiving or social work is beneficial but not necessary we offer comprehensive training!
- A compassionate patient and dedicated approach with a strong commitment to advocating for individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid drivers license dependable transportation and eligibility to drive for the company.
- Ability to successfully pass a national background check.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform other related tasks.
