Job Title: Occupational Therapist Acute Care West Midlands
Location: Birmingham

We have an exciting new role for Occupational Therapist in Acute Care that willprovide highquality occupational therapy services to adult inpatients in an acute care setting ensuring effective interventions and optimal patient outcomes.
What will your responsibilities be
As an occupational therapist I conduct detailed assessments of adult inpatients and develop individualized treatment plans. I facilitate early discharge planning and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure comprehensive care. My role involves providing therapeutic interventions to support recovery and independence prioritizing workload and adapting to changing priorities. I collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage acutely unwell patients maintain accurate and timely records and stay informed about best practices in acute care occupational therapy.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role you will need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Experience in adult inpatient occupational therapy particularly in acute care settings is essential. Strong assessment and treatment planning skills along with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities are crucial. You should be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT). Additionally a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are required as well as a willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
