You will be contacted directly by the facility after applying to this position.The Division of Surgery at the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville Florida is seeking a fulltime academicallyoriented Surgical Oncologist with excellent training and strong clinical skills in all areas of complex surgical oncology including melanoma retroperitoneal sarcoma hepatic pancreatic biliary and upper and lower GI surgery endocrine surgery and peritoneal and advanced malignancy. The position will build a broad practice in general surgical oncology together with other experienced surgical oncologists. The successful candidate will: Have a clinical focus on all components of complex surgical oncology (without general surgery call or trauma responsibilities).Experience with minimally invasive and open surgical procedures is expected.Have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.Be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Surgery in Complex General Surgical Oncology (CGSO). Exceptional candidates who are not eligible for ABS/CGSO certification with a focus in oncologic surgery or who may have completed Surgical Oncology training prior to CGSO certification are encouraged to apply.Demonstrate a commitment to our multidisciplinary integrated model of cancer care;Fully support the clinical scholarly and educational missions of our program including integrated patient care improving quality metrics and creating scholarly work.Display the passion communication and interpersonal skills and collaboration required to build an active clinical practice and develop areas of productive scholarship.Be recommended for an Adjunct appointment at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (UTMDACC) commensurate with clinical and academic achievements.
