Job Description
The teaching assistant will aid the instructor of record in developing teaching materials and providing supplemental instruction to students enrolled in the class.
Duties:
Identifying and preparing datasets for use as examples in class lectures and in assessments.
Crafting questions/problem sets and keys for assignments and exams.
Development of how to videos/documentation and other instructional support materials.
Assist with the development and maintenance of the course Canvas site.
Holding office hours and/or study sessions to aid and support students.
Preliminary grading of assignments (final grading to be completed by instructor of record).

This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA s responsibility is a duty to report.
