Kumabe HR is teaming up with a top 100 accounting and consulting firm to find an Audit Senior for one of their local divisions.

Senior Auditors have demonstrated an ability to proficiently perform the functions of an experienced staff auditor. Senior auditors perform most work assigned with a minimum of assistance. They often supervise one or more staff and/or experienced staff auditors instruct them in work to be performed review the work done and direct necessary revisions. Senior auditors are provided a variety of diversified auditing and accounting assignments under the supervision of different professionals. Assessment of performance is based on their ability to effectively run engagements supervise staff and on the quality of work application of auditing and accounting knowledge and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Performing audit or review procedures or assisting in other projects as assigned
  • Understanding the clients business and industry and accounting and control systems
  • Assessing risks and evaluating the clients internal control structure
  • Performing and documenting analytical procedures substantive tests and tests of controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues
  • Reviewing or drafting of financial statements and other client deliverables
  • Directing training supervising and reviewing the work performed by staff and experienced staff auditors
  • Building and maintaining good client relationships
  • Being actively involved all phases of a client engagement from planning to issuance
  • Demonstrating proficiency in technical skills work quality and application of professional and firm standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
  • Holds a current and valid CPAs license or is working toward obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam
  • Ability to travel to assigned client locations
  • Possess thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board standards
