OTR Tire Technician

Kal Tire is Canadas largest independent tire dealer and one of North Americas largest commercial tire dealers. Kal Tires Mining Tire Group is a leader in mining tire service and supply servicing over 150 mine sites across five continents.

Cote Gold The Ct Gold Project is located in the Chester and Yeo Townships District of Sudbury in northeastern Ontario. It is approximately 20 km southwest of Gogama 130 km southwest of Timmins and 200 km northwest of Sudbury roughly 5 km west of Highway 144.

The Project area is characterized by gentle hills forests lakes and rivers. The Project area is located on two subwatersheds the Mollie River system and the Mesomikenda River system. Additionally the continental watershed divide is located south of the Project property with the nearest boundary located southwest and more than 3.5 km from the proposed openpit location.

The shift schedule for this position would be 14x 14 off.

Cote will provide camp and bus transportation to the site from the following muster points:

• Sudbury
• Timmins
• Gogama

Day to Day Responsibilities

• As a Tire Service Technician youll embody our commitment to Service Excellence by performing a tire service on customer equipment the Kal Tire way.
• Youll collaborate with mine maintenance staff conduct maintenance on tools and equipment and ensure tire inspection and maintenance programs are meticulously upheld.
• Responding to afterhours callouts as directed youll showcase and advocate for best practices and continuous improvement in all operations.
• On the technical front youll expertly dismount and mount tires for various mining vehicles ensuring safety and load requirements are met.
• Operating heavyduty tire servicing equipment and tools youll conduct repairs inspections and calibrations with precision and adherence to safety standards.
• Your dedication to Health Safety & Environment will be evident as you maintain compliance report hazards and actively contribute to maintaining hygiene standards.

What kind of person are we looking for

• At least 2 years of related experience with direct experience as a tire fitter preferred.
  
• OTR service training and certifications desired. Basic tire fitting skills Tire fitter Levels 1 & 2 preferred.
  
• Experience operating and maintaining tire manipulators forklifts and service trucks.
  
• Experience working in an environment where safety procedures are a key part of daily operations.
