The School of Social Work at Abilene Christian University invites applications and/or nominations for an Associate Director in the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program with an appointment in June 2025. This is a fulltime 9month tenuretrack Assistant or Associate Professor position with administrative requirements some of which will be fulfilled during summer months and include a summer stipend. Initial salary and stipend are commensurate with qualifications experience and educational degree. The primary work location will be on the residential Abilene Campus.
ACUs School of Social Work offers both the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) and the Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) degrees. Although the successful candidate will be primarily assigned to the undergraduate program they will be expected to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels which have a generalist and advanced generalist focus respectively. This position assists the BSSW Program Director in administering the residential undergraduate program in compliance with CSWE accreditation standards ACU administrative policies and School of Social Work policy manuals.

Applicants must hold a masters degree in social work from a CSWEaccredited or an internationallyrecognized social work program. A doctorate in social work or a related field is preferred. Experience in university teaching and evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential is highly preferred. The ability to teach across the social work curriculum is expected.
The successful candidate must have at least five 5 years postMSSW practice experience. Evidence of leadership ability through teaching scholarship curriculum development and/or administrative experience is preferred.
