Job Description
We are looking for someone that we hope can really hit the ground running in our Traditional Commercial Department. This department handles Mid Market Accounts. There is a lot of variety and it is a fastpaced team that prides itself on having double digit growth for the past 3 years.
They do not have commissioned producers in their office so the Brokers in this department take on some additional client relationship building responsibilities once they have a good feel for the role. The role is primarily inhouse with most client interaction over the phone and email.
Position Overview
- Handling policy renewals as assigned (including preparation review and negotiation with insurers as required)
- Servicing existing customers with inquiries and changes as required
- Processing certificates renewals and endorsements
- Rating and issuing of new business for exclusive programs
- Follow ups with clients and insurance companies for required information and documents
- Accounts receivables
- Claim reporting and followup
- Any other as duties as may come up on a day to day basis
Position Requirements
- 5 years of Commercial Lines insurance experience in a brokerage setting
- Valid RIBO license
- Exceptional client service skills
- Strong analytical organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player ability to adapt to and work cooperatively with various individuals
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and experience with Applied Epic is an asset
