Columbus Technical College (CTC) seeks an individual to serve as the Paramedicine programs fulltime Program Director /Instructor. The Program Director will serve as the firstline administrator within the program area responsible for the overall leadership planning implementation coordination supervision and evaluation of all aspects of the program. He/she will be directly responsible and accountable for fulfilling educational goals and objectives and ensuring program compliance with all the policies standards regulations and laws of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) and the Georgia Department of Public Health Emergency Medical Services. This individual will be responsible for instruction and preparing lesson plans for the classroom lab and clinical setting. Additional Duties include maintaining program accreditation/certification requirements preparing and maintaining all required documentation and administrative reports holding advisory committee meetings attending workshops seminars and conferences and completing all mandatory staff development training. This position is Fulltime/exempt.

Responsibilities:
- Lead fulltime/parttime faculty in curriculum development and instructional advancement
- Review and ensure proper and timely course student and faculty scheduling
- Facilitate the development of and assume responsibility for program budget management
- Coordinate the annual core curriculum evaluations of the program assessment of Institutional Effectiveness (IE) and prepare reports
- Assist and encourage fulltime and parttime faculty with their professional development
- Review the College catalog on an annual basis concerning program curricula and make appropriate recommendations for changes
- Assist with recruiting and hiring new full and parttime program faculty
- Supervise and evaluate fulltime and parttime faculty in the program
- Coordinate departmental textbook orders.
- Developing and evaluating student learning and program outcomes
- Oversight of clinical management
- Acquisition of instructional technology equipment and operational resources
- Follow state standards in developing the program and course outlines goals and objectives
- Evaluate students progress in attaining goals and objectives
- Attend TCSG IFCC meetings
- Request and maintain supplies and equipment
- Meet with students faculty and other educators to discuss students instructional programs and other issues impacting the students progress
- Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training areas
- Student advisement and registration
- Assist with student recruitment retention and job placement efforts
- Provide support and supervision to ensure programmatic and institutional accreditation certifications licensure and placement outcomes are met
- Serves on committees as directed and coordinated by the Academic Dean of Health Sciences and Nursing
- Set an example and be the role model for professionalism and conduct for program staff and students
- Ensure academic quality of the instruction provided to the students
- Participate in student campus and community activities as required
- Actively participate in the local professional community to raise awareness of Columbus Technical College to enhance student opportunity and build a professional network
- Assist with new program student orientations
- Conduct and document regular department staff/faculty meetings
- Ensure faculty and student files are maintained and complete
- Possess the knowledge and ability to judge instructors competence and effectiveness
- Participate in and document faculty and professional development activities including any Continuing Education Units (CEUs) required for certification or licensure where required by law
- Ensure that all appropriate surveys are conducted timely and reviewed effectively
- Provide regular performance feedback including formal classroom observations
- Adhere to Columbus Technical College policies and accreditor standards
- Perform other duties assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education
- Current Georgia Paramedic license
- Current Georgia Instructor/Coordinator (Paramedic) license
- Current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) as a Paramedic
- Current certifications in BLS ACLS and PALS
- Field experience in the delivery of prehospital emergency care
- Knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and evidencedinformed clinical practice
- Knowledgeable about methods of instruction testing and evaluation of students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Keen observation supervision and evaluation skills
- Proficient with current computer technology applications (Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have one or more years of experience teaching paramedic advanced emergency medical technician or emergency medical technician courses.
- Masters Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Emergency Management Healthcare Management or a closely related field.
- Knowledgeable about national program accreditation national registry and state certification/licensure
- Experience in BANNER and Blackboard
Salary/Benefits:
