Bach To Rock (B2R)Americas Music School for students of all ages is currently seeking Music Production Instructorsto work as aparttime employeeprovidingprivate semiprivate and group lessons for Music Production to students of all ages.
Music Production Teachersdevelop musicians that enjoy creating original high quality work.
Bach to Rock offers the opportunity to work a flexible part time schedule in a fun environment with other likeminded musicians. We handle the marketing scheduling booking billing and other business aspects of the lessons & group classes so that you can focus on teaching. B2R teachers are provided with the Bach to Rock curriculum equipment and space so they have everything they need to deliver successful and effective instruction.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in music production using Bach to Rocks proprietary curriculum and Ableton Live
- Manage classroom time effectively to balance student needs and attention
- Adapt to Music Production students interested in diverse styles (e.g. hip hop pop rock house oldies)
- Provide administrative support as needed such as
- Move set up and break down equipment at the school and events
- Perform basic repair of minor school equipment
- Assist with equipment inventory
Requirements:
- Must demonstrate an understanding ofMusic Production concepts and be able to communicate those concepts to students effectively
- Mustuse Ableton Live at a professional level of competence
- Must be able to receive constructive feedback on teaching techniques and apply the feedback to new teaching situations and environments
- Must be able to be physically present at B2R for scheduled lessons
- Ability to interact effectively with children teens and adults
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with a variety of personalities
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be proficient in English speaking and writing skills
