The Opportunity
Medivet Colchester is a wellestablished practice based in beautiful North Essex. It is supported by Vets Now in Colchester after hours and additionally our 24 hour hospital in Southend. There is a network of neighbouring Medivet practices who work together.
The practice has a strong and loyal client base and is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly team.
Currently we have 1 Experienced lead vet and are looking to for a second vet to join us. We have a great support team with our Registered Veterinary Nurses Patient Care Assistant and the front of house team.
This practice has three consult rooms separate dog and cat wards a fully equipped theatre with two operating tables and a prep room. Advanced facilities including an Xray room ultrasound and inhouse lab.
The local region has two other Medivet practices with lots of fantastic vets and nurses who work together to solve cases care for their patients and help each other to develop.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
Provide exceptional care to your clients giving clear updates on patients.
Deliver professional excellence observing the highest standards of regulatory practice and operational compliance.
Prepare tailored accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
Engage mentor and develop your team enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
Proactively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
