Job Title: Standards Development Manager
Location: London (Chiswick Greater London)
Type: Permanent (hybrid)
About the role:
Join BSI as a Standards Development Manager (SDM) and play a key role in shaping industry standards within the built environment sector. This is a dynamic opportunity to manage national and international standards committees drive strategic initiatives and engage with industry leaders to influence best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of standards committees projects and programs ensuring they meet market and stakeholder needs.
- Engage with key stakeholdersincluding industry experts government bodies and trade associationsto grow and develop standards.
- Drive strategic development identifying opportunities for new standards and expanding BSIs influence in the sector.
- Represent the UK internationally providing expert input on European and global standardisation efforts.
- Ensure timely project delivery overseeing workflows and collaborating with internal teams including Content Marketing and Policy.
- Provide expert guidance to committee chairs participants and stakeholders facilitating discussions and building consensus.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Project management expertise capable of handling multiple publishing projects across various industries.
- Excellent interpersonal skills able to collaborate with professionals at all levels.
- A proactive strategic mindset keen to identify new opportunities for standards development.
