We are seeking experienced Project Coordinators for projectbased opportunities across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Heres how a(n)Project Coordinatorfor our Edmonton Industrial Managementoffice contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Performs and applies quantity takeoffs and surveys to handle contract progress and reporting.
- Maintainscontact with select subcontractors and is responsible for some subcontract administration including defining work scope answering inquiries and supervising progress.
- Runs thechange order process including pricing negotiating processing and assessing cost and schedule impact before reviewing with project manager. Performs simple estimates.
- Assists the project manager in crafting and issuing tender packages and subcontracts and supervisestheir progress.
- Maintains and performs project document control and procedures (coordinating RFIs shop drawing and submittal process maintaining asbuilt drawings etc..
- Assists the project manager and superintendent in managing and reporting overall project or select scope performance as per site HSE cost management schedule and quality.
- Preparesand tracksprogress claims and estimates.
- Coordinatesinventory and tracking of materials and equipment and expedites material orders.
- Prepareswork packages for selfperform work and maintainsselfperform schedule and costing system.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Construction trade certification with equivalent experience or postsecondary diploma or degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
- 5 years of construction experience in an operational role.
- Mechanical/piping experience is required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple supervisors and subtrades.
- Intermediate knowledge of construction specifications methods and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology/systems.
- Ability to apply basic engineering principles to construction challenges.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
The successful applicant must be willing to take and pass a PreAccess Alcohol & Drug Test. Travel and mobility will be required.
