The team at Cirkul developed an innovative beverage delivery system that makes drinking more water delicious fun and personalized. The technology reduces the shipping weight of bottled beverages by 96 and uses 84 less plastic. Cirkul offers its customers 100 unique flavors all with no sugar zero calories no artificial colors and a range of functional enhancements online at Walmart and other retailers across the United States. Hundreds of thousands of consumers are using Cirkul to transition from singleuse plastics and sugarfilled beverages to healthier betterforyou alternatives.
What is this role
As a high growth and dynamic business Cirkul has expanded its manufacturing operations to include a facility in Salt Lake City. The equipment utilized here has a high degree of control complexity and vision system monitoring. The Controls & Vision engineer will be a critical piece of the plant engineering team (onsite) and the rest of the engineering teams (based in Tampa) to increase Cirkuls capability to design and troubleshoot the equipments program and corresponding vision systems. The Controls and Vision engineer will work cross functionally with operations quality and OEMs to reapply best industry and Cirkul specific practices to ensure the automation equipment is producing reliable highquality product at low s rates. The Controls and Vision engineer will also work closely with maintenance leadership and technicians to increase the 24/7 knowledge base to troubleshoot machine materials and product issues.
What does an average day look like
- Driving Results:
- Ensures equipment is operating at optimal performance meeting product quality standards with minimal downtime.
- Focuses on highquality production outcomes by troubleshooting and resolving complex automation issues.
- Taking Ownership:
- Responsible for the smooth operation and continual improvement of the controls and vision systems at the Salt Lake City facility.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for all issues related to controls and vision systems.
- Making Decisions:
- Makes datadriven decisions based on thorough analysis of system performance equipment issues and production needs.
- Decides on corrective actions when issues arise ensuring quick resolution to maintain production flow.
- Cultivating Relationships:
- Works closely with plant operations quality teams OEMs and maintenance leadership to foster strong relationships.
- Collaborates with the engineering team in Tampa and other crossfunctional departments to share knowledge and best practices.
- Instilling Trust:
- Builds trust within the team and with external stakeholders by providing consistent reliable solutions.
- Ensures a high level of transparency in decisionmaking and communication regarding system issues.
- Customer Focus:
- Focuses on ensuring the production of highquality products minimizing s rates and meeting customer expectations for reliability and performance.
What background should you have
- Bachelors degree in electrical Automation or a related field; or an Associates degree in a relevant discipline with equivalent professional experience.
- 4 Years of Work Experience within the Manufacturing field that utilized vision systems
- Strong passion for controls engineering and a desire to build a career in this field.
- Solid understanding of basic electrical and control system principles.
- Familiarity with programming languages and software used in controls engineering such as ladder logic structured text C/C Java Python AutoCAD
- Ability to take high level direction and turn it into executable tasks
- Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality work.
- Willing to work hard stay until the job is complete and demonstrate resilience
- Have a positive attitude willing to work with multiple levels of employees and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
- Prior experience or internships in controls engineering or automationrelated roles is a plus.
