Description

As a Quality Assurance Inspector III you will be responsible for inspecting and measuring internally manufactured parts or procured products. Using various measurement equipment you will ensure these components comply with Click Bond and/or customerprovided engineering drawings and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use measuring devices (micrometer caliper optical measurement equipment) to inspect and determine product conformance with engineering drawings purchase orders and associated specifications.
  • Ensure quality requirements are met in the production of products that meet established standards and specifications including but not limited to AS9100 / ISO 9001/ ISO14001.
  • Completes and maintains inspection records physical and chemical certifications conducts AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAIs) and documents nonconformance.
  • Accurately enters information in Click Bonds ERP/MRP system.
  • Ensures all documentation is accurate and complete prior to shipping parts to external customers.
  • Perform first shot in process final and shipping inspections.
  • Facilitate and document root cause corrective action activities.
  • Engages with internal and external customers politely and courteously.
  • Ability to setup and operate the Retina automated inspection system.
  • Stamp mark of approval for procured product internally produced product and/or appropriate shipping documentation.
  • Generate reports of traceability inspection acceptance or nonconformance certificates of compliance and make appropriate computer entries.
  • Supports the development of inspection plans control plans inspection report forms.
  • Proficiently writes inspection instructions.
  • Conduct necessary material testing to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Trains and mentors other members of the team.
  • Performs measurement systems analysis (MSA).
  • Ability to occasionally use a forklift.
  • Coordinates trains and audits production technicians in the Certified Manufacturing Inspector program compliant with AS9162 Aerospace Operator SelfVerification Programs.
  • Capable of performing XRF material analysis.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean orderly and hazardfree work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision be a selfstarter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Applies knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and basic statistical methods.
  • Experience with AS9102 FAI (First Article Inspection).
  • Communicates clearly and informatively with a customer focused mindset ensuring accuracy in spelling and grammar.
  • Capable of effectively writing routine reports and correspondence and presenting numerical data.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and includes appropriate people in decisionmaking processes.
  • Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person of an alternate plan.
  • Follows written and verbal instructions responds well to management direction and takes responsibility for actions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as aerospace procedures engineering requirements safety rules and quality assurance manuals.
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite ERP/MRP inventory software and manufacturing software.
  • Experience with 6Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with the NCR process and nonconformances.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical critical thinking problemsolving and organizational skills; listens attentively seeks clarification and responds effectively to questions.
  • Proficient at performing inprocess inspections final inspections dimensional inspections and other attributes utilizing measuring devices such as micrometer caliper or optical measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including but not limited to FNams injection molding compression molding CNC composites paint processes passivation and assembly depending on the area assigned.
  • Ability to write and read English

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D. required Associate degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in quality inspection or related position required. Certifications and education will be considered in lieu of experience.
  • 5 years audit experience required.
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) certification required.
  • 5 years experience with 6Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles required.
  • ASQ CQI CQT and CQA Certificates preferred.
  • XRay florescence experience required.
  • 7 years experience with nonconformance processes required.

  • Close vision color vision and ability to adjust focus occasional microscope work is required.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

  • If in manufacturing areas requires protective eyewear and/or hearing protection.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • If in manufacturing areas may be exposed to noise smells heat dust etc. Work requires the observance of fire regulations and safe work practices.
