Job Title:Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry
Band:Consultant
Location:Kidderminster Worcestershire
Working Hours:40 hours
Rate:Competitive to be discussed upon application
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS clients dynamic inpatient team in Kidderminster Worcestershire. This locum position is available for an immediate start on a shortterm contract offering competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will deliver highquality psychiatric care to older adult patients. Your responsibilities will include ensuring cover for the daytoday running of the ward chairing Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings providing Approved Clinician (AC) cover for Mental Health Act (MHA) work conducting thorough assessments and developing individualised treatment plans managing complex cases and offering specialist advice conducting ward rounds and managing ward jobs reviewing patient cases and providing feedback attending relevant patient meetings when necessary collaborating with the Early Intervention Team to provide integrated care for patients with early signs of mental health issues and engaging with local and national networks to elevate the profile of our centre and ensure all therapeutic approaches are evidencebased and effective. Please note there will be no remote working during this period.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MRCPsych
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice
- Completion of Specialty Training (CCT) in Psychiatry
- Experience in Old Age Psychiatry
- Approved Clinician (AC) status and Section 12 MHA approval are essential
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
