Job Description
Aurora Health and Rehabilitation is looking for a dedicated and creative Activity Assistant to complete our team!
**Daily OnThe Spot Interviews Welcome**
The Activity Assistant is responsible for assessing selecting organizing and implementing of activity and recreational services to address the individualized needs and interest of the residents.

Hours/Shifts:
- Full Time 8am4pm)
Day in the Life / Expectations
- Assist in creating the monthly activities calendar for facility residents
- Encourage participation in group and individual activities
- Maintains precaution and limitation list on each resident
- Assist in organizing and supervising the volunteer program to include recruitment and training
- Assist with Resident Council Meetings
- Assist in planning community activities to include resident family and facility participation
- Work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Activities Certification preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- High integrity and wellgrounded work ethic
- Agility and flexibility with changing priorities
- Teamoriented and a practical teamplayer
- Professional demeanor
- At least one year experience providing care and services in longterm care (preferred)
