The Print Shop Manager is responsible for all aspects of copying printing and distributing products for the Department of Economic Security. This includes overseeing the operation of the Print Shop which involves purchasing paper reviewing the work of the Graphic and Design team managing chargebacks ensuring and handling the input and payment of monthly bills.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based on the departments business needs and continual meetings of expected performance measures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review and analyze budgets ensure Print Shop copier and Central Distribution chargebacks are correct and submitted to accounting as required.
Inform the Program Administrator on any concerns with discrepancies potential problems or the need to revise chargeback rates.
Manage the operation of the print shop. This includes the print shops color and black / white copy print shop machines and bindery equipment.
Review evaluate and analyze individual printing requests and provide written estimates when necessary.
Review and analyze policies and procedures within the assigned sections.
Develop desk procedures on major tasks and the development of necessary intranet sites.
Review and analyze Print Shop/Copier production statistics.
Provide accurate and timely information to internal/external customers.
Prioritize special project/assignments as required.
Knowledge of:
AZ Procurement Portal system the principles and practices of administration organization budgetary control to properly control operation costs.
Planning organizing controlling and supervision to ensure production of the end products in a cost effective and timely manner.
Policies and procedures to ensure budgets are current and correct.
Safety practices.
Skills in:
Writing and communication skills to ensure policies and procedures are written clearly and concisely.
Detecting or anticipating budgetary problems; Applying fiscal and budgetary management to properly analyze and manage budgets
Solve problems related to personnel production and finances. Operate the printing estimates program production copiers floor copiers bindery equipment and distribute materials effectively.
Oversight of Staff.
Ability to:
Train and motivate staff.
Communicate operating processes and procedures effectively to customers.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Five 5 years of experience working with printing software and operating highspeed production and floor copiers.
Three 3 to five 5 years using press and bindery equipment.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business then the following requirements apply: Drivers License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid classappropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C. R210207.11.
Successfully pass background and reference check; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the Agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
