Overview

Job Title: IT Support and Operations Intern

Job Location: Lindon UT

Description:

The IT Support and Operations Intern provides technical support and assistance to endusers at our IT Service Center in our Lindon UT location. This role is crucial in creating and maintaining an excellent experience for employees at Clyde Companies and it ensures smooth and efficient operations for the entire organization. Interns generally work in their role for 612 months and may move onto long term employment opportunities based on qualifications availability and metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Request Fulfillment: Manage user requests for new software hardware and other ITrelated services ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment.
  • Incident Resolution: Provide firstlevel contact and problem resolution for all users. Respond to inquiries diagnose problems and guide users through stepbystep solutions.
  • Technical Assistance: Assist with installation configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify analyze and resolve hardware software and networkrelated issues. Escalate problems to higherlevel support when necessary.
  • User Education: Educate users on basic system use and best practices to enhance their knowledge and reduce future issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of user issues resolutions and help desk activities. Update and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles to assist in resolving future issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT staff to address broader issues and implement improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing or have completed a 1 college degree in information technology computer science construction related field; OR 2 CompTIA A Network Security certifications.
  • Proven experience in construction or an IT support role.
  • Good understanding of computer systems mobile devices and other tech products.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Technical knowledge of hardware software and network systems
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Skills:

  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Customerfocused and patient.
