The primary function of this position is to supervise fire prevention code enforcement teams(s) enforcing the Statewide Fire Prevention Code and standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check driving record check and sanctions screening to the satisfaction of the employer. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED: SELECTION PROCEDURE: Panel interview and may include exercise. Any combination of education experience and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with a bachelors degree in a field of study directly related to the industry being regulated such as engineering architecture urban planning biological or environmental science public administration law enforcement legal studies or a related field; plus four years of progressively more responsible complaint resolution and/or code enforcement experience in the industry being regulated.

Must be able to interact with customers. Must be able to operate keyboard driven equipment and visual acuity to read plans and digital information. Must be able to stand bend over climb ladders and walk for extended periods of time. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
