NEPEAN Conveyors(a division ofNEPEAN) provides fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions from concept to commissioning for some of the worlds largest mining companies. Established in 1985 it manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys idlers rapid advancerapid retreat components and driveheads and provides onsite installation maintenance and relocation of conveyor installations.
Our Opportunity:
To support our ongoing growth NEPEAN Conveyors NSW are currently seeking a Mechanical 3D Designerto join our team. This position is a fulltime permanent opportunity based in our site service team at Unanderra NSW.
- Creating Technical Drawings at all levels i.e. Layouts Arrangements Assemblies and Details
- 3D modelling and detailing using input from engineers and senior designers in the team.
- Determine factors like tolerances dimensioning weldability and ease of assembly.
- Create designs in line with company procedures regulations and client standards.
- Assist with field and manufacturing problems.
- Site Services and Engineering functions such as design reviews risk assessments and activities.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor Autocad Professional Vault Navisworks).
- 5 years experience in a design role or related experience.
- Bulk Material Handling or Heavy Industrial/Mining Industry experience
- Belt Conveyor Design experience
- Working knowledge of the appropriate Australian standards such as AS4024 AS1100 AS1654 and AS1657.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Full Drivers Licence
