Job Description
We are looking for a 2nd shift Coiling Department Associate to join our team in Danbury CT.
As a coiling department associate the selected candidate will work in Mandrel Coiling insert Finishing Cleaning and/or Wire Forming. They will be responsible for the following:
Set up and operate the following:
Any combination of mandrel coiling machines and strip machines (including automated strip feed cells) not to exceed a total three machines;
Or two wire mills
Or one milling serrating cutoff Torrington notching strip feed or reel side machine and maintain notch depth adjustment on notching machine.
Or any finishing machines and up to two punching devices when required.
Maintain setups on all machines by replacing all perishable tooling.
Clean color sort and package inserts as required. Inspect own work to prescribed quality standards meet production standards and observe all safety and housekeeping requirements. Report immediately all problems and difficulties. Execute accurately all necessary records including counting and recording time.
Operate any inspection or production reporting systems.
Promptly Alert the supervisors or other intermediary to problems or factors which exert disruptive or delaying influences on the operation.
Work under direction of foreman or any intermediary the foreman may assign.
Must be able to lift up to 35lbs throughout the day as needed for material handling within job description.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a machine operator is required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively and able to read blueprints.
- Ability to use a manual micrometer is required.
- The selected candidate will possess strong mechanic aptitude and computer awareness.
- Must be able to stand/walk approximately 95 of day
- Must be able to work overtime 10 hours per day Monday Friday.

This is a 2nd shift position core hours are 3:00pm 11:30pm When scheduled for 9 hours 3:30pm to 1:00am and on 10 hours 4:00pm to 2:30am
Saturday/Sunday Overtime is available.
