The National Security Sector has an opening for a Deployable TARP Representative for Amberly Australia. The selected applicant with start at Naval Air Station North Island San Diego CA and then will deploy to Amberly Australia 45 to 60 days after hire date. The Deployable TARP Representative will support the Technical Assistance for Repairables Processing (TARP) Program sponsored and funded under a contract with NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support (WSS). This is an independent duty position to provide Depot Level Repairable (DLR) and Secondary Repairable (SECREP) support to US Navy and Marines Corps. The successful candidate will be expected to deploy on US Naval ships in support of the Naval Reverse Supply Chain logistics providing assistance and training in PHS&T (Packaging Handling storage and transportation) and supply retrograde procedures to USN/USMC/Coast Guard Supply personnel (Naval and Marine Aviation Maritime and Ground Marine) to include all material condition codes of DLR and SECREP assets asset processing packaging and protection support and assistance process improvement documentation and operational reporting

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deploy on various CVNs and LHA/D ships embedding with Aviation Supply Office (S6 aboard providing Reverse Supply Chain expertise in AVDLR/DLR/SECREP policy and procedures PHS&T training eRMS training and assistance and DLR retrograde movement.
  • Operating independently at assigned Ashore activity supporting major and various minor activities to include Advanced Traceability and Control (ATAC) nodes to ensure the proper P700CNP packaging and handling and shipping of all DLRs back to required CONUS repair and storage depots or packup kit managers.
  • Assist assigned Major and Minor activities to include CVN/LHD Beach Detachments with RSC logistics.
  • Independently determine PHS&T discrepancies and inefficiencies and identify necessary remediation requirements.
  • Develop and implement necessary POAMs to correct/improve current activity practices recommending improvements to the appropriate chain of command.
  • Provide expert advice in the areas of PHS&T techniques resource support facilities layout and utilization packaging materials and equipment handling including container utilization storage transportation and retrograde system infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze assigned unit/ship/shore stations eRMS database and supply posture to ensure 100 carcass accountability minimize additional damage to repairables during transit and provide for efficient and accurate InTransitVisibility (ITV)/proof of delivery.
  • Document program activities establish logistics guidance conduct supportability analyses establish support concepts and provide the continued planning necessary to ensure effective and economical support for the program.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum twenty years work experience as a Navy Aviation Storekeeper (Logistics Specialist)/Maintenance Control Operations or as an Aviation Logistics Marine with experience in PHS&T Logistical Readiness Transportation management customer service operations training support hazardous material handling and/or process review support.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain.
  • Prior enlisted/officer military service and experience as an E8 or above (an E7 will be considered if extensive DLR management experience can be demonstrated).
  • Physically capable to deploy on US Naval vessels and adhere to all policies and procedures set by U.S. Navy.
  • Physically capable to travel remote locations to support ashore logistics operations.
  • College level courses taken in logistics or courses completed through the DOD.
  • Active passport or ability to obtain a US passport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience deployed on a CVN and/or LDeck Ship
  • Understanding of ATAC Operations
  • Understanding of MILSTD20731E Methods of Preservation

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44200.00 $79900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
