For more information please visit our MDHHS Diversity Equity and Inclusion Plan.The Staff Psychiatrist functions as a leader of the interdisciplinary treatment team in a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital. Said leadership is affected through the supervision and direction of the teams professional assessments diagnosis treatment planning treatment discharge planning performance improvement and clinical programming activities. In order to provide continuity of highquality care staff psychiatrists also share oncall responsibilities.
The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to preemployment random postaccident reasonable suspicion returntoduty and followup drug and/or alcohol testing.

Education
Possession of a medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.Experience
Completion of a psychiatric residency program and one year of experience as a psychiatrist in a mental health clinic program or correctional facility.Additional Requirements and Information
Possession of a license to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery in Michigan.
Some positions require possession of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology general requirements for certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.Your application for any position does not guarantee that you will be contacted by the Department/Agency for further consideration.
