Job Description

Job Title: Associate Manager Quality Control

Job Code: 21233

Job Location: Tempe AZ

Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

  • Supervises a multi shift team of Quality Assurance inspectors & quality technicians providing daytoday work direction for direct reports to ensure steady workflow productivity and resolving operational decisions in support of business objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides inputs on staffing employe performance management and tooling and equipment necessary to properly inspect electromechanical assemblies.
  • Responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly process mechanical electrical and electromechanical systems.
  • Facilitates the implementation of standards methods and procedures for inspecting testing and evaluating the precision accuracy and reliability of company products.
  • Leads the preparation and of internal audits within established manufacturing and production controls to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards.
  • Liaises with auditing groups and inspectors/technicians to develop formal written reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identifies trends in discrepancies and collaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimization of business processes.
  • Oversees inspection department prioritization and coordination of a team of multi shift production inspectors & technicians. Reviews approves and controls work order flow tags.
  • Develops and continuously improves inspection techniques tools and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards methods and procedures.
  • Participates in corrective and preventative actions including: customer escapes process nonconformities supplier corrective actions customer and change control and material review board meetings.
  • Oversee Resources to perform measurement systems analysis (TMV GRR) to evaluate test and inspection equipment
  • Serve as Inspection continuity for Operations Teams during shifts in business needs.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
