Leidos Defense Systems Land Systems is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our teamwith the ability and experience to work missile defense projects within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. As a DevSecOps Engineer youll directly support the Agile Software Development in achieving specific program objectives in support of our nations defense. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problemsolving skills be a strong team player and can establish solid working relationships with peers and technical staff members within the program.

Primary Responsibilities
- Work with the Agile Development Teams/Security/System Administration to create and advance solutions for DevSecOps.
- Collaborate with other experts within the program and in the user community to ensure that security is baked into deliverables from the start and that each product and program fully embrace a DevSecOps and shiftleft on security mentality.
- Develop automated build and test pipeline strategies including aspects of security and compliance to ensure viability of product deployment solutions
- Contribute to software development activities and actively participate in program increment planning and related team activities.
- Participate in Agile software develop and deployment processes
- Provide ongoing support for the services and applications that are critical to our business needs
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 48 years of professional experience; or 26 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree; or no experience required with a related PhD or JD. Considered career or journey level.
- Previous DevOps experience or software focus in automation.
- Experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) Windows Server and Workstation.
- Experience with Agile Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
- Understanding of System Scripting (bash Python PowerShell batch etc.
- Understanding of writing and maintaining CI/CD Pipelines (GitLab Jenkins Bamboo).
- Experience providing technical support training and guidance to program personnel on DevSecOps tools and software development lifecycle (tools such as GitLab Nexus and CI tools)
- Experience with Docker and/or Containerization.
- Troubleshooting skills and experience with Linux and/or Windows environments.
- Knowledge of InfrastructureasCode and/or Platform Engineering
- Knowledge in controlling third party software (COTS GOTS and FOSS) to ensure efficient storage and reusability across the program.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills
- Basic skills with version control tools such as Git.
- Must be able to work onsite.
- Must be an US citizen possess and be able to maintain a DoD secret clearance.
- Must be a resident of Huntsville AL
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile Process Tools (VersionOne Atlassian Tools JIRA etc.
- Experience developing maintainable Infrastructure as Code (Ansible Terraform chef/puppet etc.
- Experience with GitOps infrastructure automation process
- Ability to support multiple release project schedules simultaneously
- Understanding of Test automation and how to implement in a pipeline approach
- Experience with static analysis tools and integrating into a pipeline (Fortify Coverity SonarQube etc.
- Understanding of containerization experience with Kubernetes and/or helm charts
- Infrastructure implementation of virtualized hosts in VMWare.
- Basic network understanding and diagnostics
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- System Administrator skills highly desired

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85150.00 $153925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
