We are looking for a confident individual with a positive outlook and a can do attitude who are aspiring to build their experience and progress at M&G.
A successful candidate is someone who is self motivated capable of building and maintaining relationships naturally curious and work effectively as part of a team. A powerful desire to learn and keen interest in Marketing.
The applicant would ideally have an inquisitive nature and be curious. The successful applicant should feel confident to use their own initiative and work alone where required with an aspiration to want to learn and progress.
The Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Marketing and Insight Team youll be part of a fun and friendly team that works closely with each other to deliver the Marketing strategy to our customers financial advisers and their clients.
You will be working across the Marketing centres of excellence supporting Strategy insights Digital experience and Operations developing a wide set of skills to help understand how Marketing supports and drives M&Gs proposition. In the role youll work closely with key stakeholders and agencies to understand the fundamental of Marketing and how we deliver for our customers and advisers.
What will you be doing
As the Marketing Executive apprentice you will be:
- Assisting the Marketing Managers who are responsible for the production and maintenance of core marketing collateral across various formats ensuring the consistency of materials within the overall brand guidelines
- Supporting other internal marketing projects
- Supporting the delivery of the UK Channel marketing plan in line with the overall strategy and objectives of the business
- Delivering reporting against performance indicators and budget on a regular basis to monitor effectiveness
- Creating new market communication tools with a focus on digital assets including brochures infographics video podcasts and social
- Collaborating and working together with other UK Marketing colleagues central marketing teams and key stakeholders across the business develop and deliver the material and campaigns
- Attending meetings and documenting minutes and actions
- Ensuring that all marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements
What will I need to be successful in this role

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders with ease.
- Ability to manage processes and coordinating with different people.
- Strong customer service awareness.
- Empathy and good listening skills.
- Efficient proactive structured approach to work and very well organized.
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
- Can effectively manage day to day work alongside apprenticeship qualification.
- Moderate understanding of the MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
- A proactive team player who is confident about working with others but also independently and can promptly escalate any issue and work remotely where required.
- Logical and analytical approach coupled with intelligence passion and a drive to learn.

Minimum Requirements
- Available to start the apprenticeship programme in September 2025
- You must not be enrolled into another further education programme at the beginning of the programme
- Be a UK citizen or have proof of your right to work in the UK
- Living in Scotland
- Pass in Five National 5s including English and Maths
- Minimum of Grade C in Two Highers or equivalent
Training Provided
As a Marketing Apprentice with M&G you will undertake the Business Administration SCQF Level 6 Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning prerecorded lectures and face to face inductions and masterclasses
Future Prospects
This is a fixed term contract for 18 23 months upon which the business may decide to retain subject to the Apprentice performance headcount and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
Salary
22900 per annum plus benefits
